Bio

Welcome! My name is Jennifer, and I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Motherhood Mentor. I have been working with children & families in the public school setting for over 11 years and have extensive experience in special education, psychoeducational evaluations, and counseling in this setting. Beyond my professional experience, I am a mother of two young children, who are my greatest teachers. My journey into and through motherhood, has brought me to depths and heights I never before knew. It has birthed a mother, as it always does.

Over the past 6 years, I've developed a deep respect and reverence for this transitional period in a woman's life, called matrescence, and acutely understand the care, connection, and community that is necessary during this time. I believe that as mothers (parents) thrive, families thrive; but this vision takes community, it takes real support. I firmly believe we are not meant to do this alone, we are meant to rise together, in community.

I am a advocate of natural wellness, living close to the earth, and the body's natural ability to heal. I am a continual student and love educating myself in areas such as physiological birth, attachment & conscious parenting philosophies, & alternative educational methodologies (i.e. nature school!). I believe in the healing power of "deep" self care and attribute practices such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, intuitive movement, creative expression, therapy & mentorship to my own healing and personal development.

I have training in perinatal mental health and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative. While traditional talk-therapy tends to focus on the mind, and thought patterns, I feel it is important to address all areas of self; body, mind, spirit. Together, we can work to shift "stuck" areas of your life to move towards more joy, contentment, fulfillment and ease in every day life.
